They were named "Vibangwa" in Swahili which in their traditional cone shell were made by cutting the top off and creating a flat shape with the shell's natural grooves

ranging from  9-12mm tall x 9-12mm wide x 4-6mm thick

Large Afghan Pendant enameled made in Yemen in theThis large pendant is 2 3 4 inches long x 36mm diameter with 4 set stones at the bottom. 5mm loop at top. The bead pendant is tarnished, but can be polished, and has about 80% silver content. 2 Persian turquoise stones, 1 coral, 1 lapis. Very dramatic and has weight!
