I have not tensted it

with light scratches and scuffs all over and one straight vertical hairline crack in one piece of inlay (as pictured)

There are a series of X's carved lightly into the exterior near the top on one side

Sold as found with two gem tintypes in it of a part of young men, but easily popped out and replaced with others there is a nice swing up opening on the backside, that then snaps tight back in place to hold them.
