S. home front Anti Axis Pin Cushion. It is marked on the rear of the base with PAT. PEND 1941 CPE, indicating it was made under a patent filed during 1941. We have seen other examples indicating the patent was filed on November 17th, interestingly less than a month before Americas entry into World War Two. This item just goes to show the anti German sentiment that existed before December 7th, 1941.
