This is a very rare WWII Issue M1 "Low Pressure" Helmet Liner. which has been painted on the outside with a very good camouflage paint scheme. The weight of the complete helmet could be cumbersome in some situations, such as working behind the enemy lines, and this provided some level of protection from branches and other minor obstacles. The camouflage paint job made the soldier that much harder to spot. This rare
