6 1/2” tall on base x 4 1/16” w x 2 7/8” deep

It features a bail handle with wooden grip (which stands up on its own) and a double band around the top of the box

with tears and bends and curled edges that make it look very folky and very well loved

but this old brass one with turned wooden handle and hanging hook at the end is as lovely as any I have seen
