Starting business in 1834 this Company later merged in in 1897 with PHILIP WEBLEY & SON to become the famous WEBLEY & SCOTT REVOLVER & ARMS CO. LTD. This particular very peculiar weapon was made around 1840, probably in Birmingham although W.& C. Scott had Shops in both London and Birmingham. The Shotgun is 12 bore with Damascus Twist barrels, which have Birmingham Proofs on them. Unlike most percussion shotguns
