More Old Clay Marbles! Set One cast iron boat I find this unusual square

I find this unusual square presumably slab-formed bowl super interesting and very lovely

and is adhered to a paper backing (on which text is written) which measures 5 1/4” x 7 1/4”

with the horsehair woven through what seems likely to be linen cloth (visible just above the scalloped edge of the pink cloth)

I'm pretty certain this gang of seven was once part of a larger animal fleet produced by R

The cover of the portfolio is fairly torn as are the paper backings for a few of the tipped in prints

More Old Clay Marbles! Set One cast iron boat I find this unusual squareI'm not over my obsession with old clay marbles, and have just added four new (old) sets to the shop. I really love how each batch I've found has a different personality, and, like rocks, each marble is unique. Just so lovely. About 50 marbles exactly as shown. They are making pretty dramatic shadows against this white plate! These average about 1 2" in diameter, some a little bigger, some a little smaller. I've tried to weed out any with much damage,
