The bombs – 76 kg (168 lb) incendiaries intended to cause forest fires – caused no injuries or real damage

We were told that this helmet shell was recovered in the Courland Pocket area, but we have no provenance or documentation to support this unfortunately. It looks to possibly have had hot paraffin wax applied to the exterior and some areas on the interior, a very popular way to preserve relic and dug up helmets. It has a great well patinated look from
