I presume it dates from the late 60s or so

Definitely with quite a lot of years on both of them

the initials ASH make me think of 'ashes to ashes' and so of the cycles of life

then repurposed (possibly recovered at that point in this charming woven plaid fabric with separate strip covering the spine) as a scrapbook for assorted clippings

with the Jack of Clubs featuring the Gatteaux mark on shield

Wonderful Antique Carved Wolf Head Pipe Bowl running boy I presume it dates fromI take this as a wolf with those exposed teeth, though I suppose it could be an especially ferocious dog! Whatever the case, quite a beautiful pipe bowl I'd say, which looks to have been carved from burl wood to me which gives the wonderful effect of a curly mane. Most definitely it was used, with blackening around and inside the opening of the bowl and a rich patina everyone else. 19th c. I believe and very lovely. 2 3 4 l x 2 t X 1 3 4 w, and nice
