composed of thin strips of wood nailed to the face and which appear likely to once have been painted gold

Sound and sturdy and works great

and that metal wrap with row of nails along the top

I am not sure if they were done by the same person, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were. I love the intensity of the chiseled sort of face on this guy, his ginger hair set off by purple ground, and then what seems like a vast torso
