I am not certain the date of this painting but would guess mid-to-late 19th century

Slab Made Ceramic Head in Profile, Signed Palmer greyhound bus cards this is an early oneOne more head for today, this one sculpted from a stoneware slab, given a terrific reactive blue purple glaze, and signed Palmer on the back. I just love the silhouette, softened with gently curved edges, and this great big ear with raised outline. I'm not sure if the darker brow and eye were a happy accident with the glaze or not, but perfect either way. 6 3 8" t x 5 1 8" w x 11 16" d and in excellent condition. No hanger on reverse but backside is
