This varnished box has a wonderfully rich patina

to keep on the counter holding fruit and the like

but it is such a lovely thing I think probably better to hang indoors--it just needs a simple hanger added to the back or a few small nails to rest on

There is wear around the edges on the exterior box

Now, it would be great mounted on the wall, I think showing the side on which it's terrific old paint, including that great acid green beak, blue head, and white stripes for the wing feathers, remains most in tact really nice against the black painted wooden to which it is mounted. 20 5 8" long x 7 1
