This is a very nice rare Imperial German WWI Prussian Steel Belt Buckle (Koppelschlo), designed for use by Signals and Telegraph troops. It is 105mm wide, intended to help distribute the load better, and has steel loops at either end, where a wire spool would be attached to let out cable. This buckle features the standard stamped metal box construction, which originally was painted, but has since all worn away. The
