Wonderful Old Black Painted Folk Art Horse with Moveable Head Griebel hydrometer published by Hachette & CiaA beauty of a creature I think, with small brass nails for eyes, a horsehair mane and tail, and a neck that moves up and down. The elegant shape of its carved head with the those pointy ears really gets me, and makes me believe late 19th c. Perfectly stark and strong in its original black paint.
