There is a tiny hole in the back of each (visible in last photo) that could conceivably be used for adding a mounting pin of sorts

I think it is both wonderfully specific and transcendentally good

Perfect for holding pens, pencils, letters, photos, all sorts of odds and ends, this one has a wonderfully warm patina, is lined with green felt, has great finger joined corners on all sides, and a latch at the center of the front. And it looks great stacked with a bunch of other boxes! 11" long x 5 3 4" deep x 2 3 4" tall. Great vintage condition, with just the right amount of dings and scratches.
