This is a fair example of an LP1 flare pistol, designed and used by the East German military in the post WWII period. The pistol is marked with serial number 15712. The frame and barrel show wear to the matte black finish. Multiple manufacturer marks are visible on the frame. The black Bakelite grips show use but they are without chips or cracks. A very nice example of a scarce flare pistol from East Germany. Comes
