The sliding top works fine

5" diameter x 6" tall

with no cracks or splits

and the tail has come unravelled

Small Carved Veiled Nude carved soapstone sculpture and now are pretty rareI dont know anything about this carving, which I found in Maine, but its quite finely done, the wood looks to me like walnut, and shes got an Art Nouveau Arts and Crafts feel to me. I of course like her contradictionslooking a bit like the Virgin Mary even as she stands nude before usor, perhaps she is Eve herself. 5 1 2 t x 1 1 16 w x 15 16 d.
