It's big and chunky--16  1/4" inches long when stretched out and 1 5/8 inches wide and deep --and the ball makes a nice rattle in its cage when shaken

will strike me as especially beautiful

Armour, a native of New York State, made a substantial fortune in the pork packing business in Milwaukee in the immediate aftermath of the Civil War, then In 1875 moved to Chicago to take charge of Armour & Co.
