I think the drawing of the elk with sea behind him and the drawing of the two lions in the forest are small masterpieces

with greening here and there and a subtle green tone underlying the silver-gray exterior

I look at and for drawings of this sort constantly

Sweet Little Victorian Sea Moss Collection c. 1880s hairbrush Box measures 3 5/8" xI'm forever on the hunt for Victorian pressed sea moss albums harder and harder to find, and more and more precious when one does. This is a small one, but the pressings on each page are lovely, well preserved, and quite nicely arranged, with a good eye toward variety of color and form, too. The covers are (as noted on the reverse of the front one) it seems made from Yucca plant, and the front cover features an image of "Ramona's House" I believe
