This small but chock-full watercolor/drawing sketchbook is French
Good condition with some craquelure to the varnish
The handles on the face of the drawers were soldered on
whose fingers seem to be doing double duty as both raindrops and rays of sunlight
I just couldn't resist the color on this one
Birds of Prey, Scarce and Marvelous Riedel, Nuremberg Mechanical Valentine c. 1830s ancient roman glass This small but chock-full watercolor/drawingAmazing! This is quite a rare one, an early mechanical valentine, published by Riedel in Nuremberg, Germany, for English export, c. 1830s I believe. My first photo shows both "before" and "after"
