I know that Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) produced versions of this button early on at his Pop Shop in Soho (opened 1986 at 292 Lafayette Street)
and a "disc number" 1G91-2 carved into the base--which would date him between approximately 1940-1970
and a number of them are hand-painted (several swords

WWII I am guessing and made of heavy tin, with great image of a heart shaped lock on one side, what I believe are a tree, stalk of corn and shaft of wheat on the other with sun, moon and star overhead, and then initials planted by artillery shells or perhaps bombs on the side. 2 1 4" l x 1 9 16" w x 13 16"
