Whiritahi Handwoven Neck Pieces harakeke Individual Decorations: 3These stunning neck pieces are handmade by contemporary textile artists Alice Spittle (Ngaai Tahu Waitaha Ngaati Mamoe) and Aroha Williams (Ngaati Porou Ngaa Rauru) They have been expertly handwoven using traditional techniques with muka fibre, ti kouka and houhere, extracted from Aotearoa NZ harakeke flax. The harakeke is from the infamous "Grandads place" in Horomaka. Each whiri piece is hand dyed using natural plant dyes derived from korari, paru,
