with each stripe of equal width

so this is a bayonet that did see service

Original German WWII 1941 Luftwaffe Pilot Flying Dual-Zip Boots U.S. Air Force The pattern of the WorldBoots. The construction is of black leather for the shoe area and black suede for the shafts. Both labels are legible showing a maker stamp, date (1941), and size 28. Zippers are RIRI and D. R. P. patent marked. The fleece lining is in excellent condition, as are the Original Wilop marked pebble soles. An excellent addition to a Luftwaffe or Battle of Britain collection! The Luftwaffe was the air force of Germany prior to and during World War II.
