The blade can be rotated with fixed positions for 45, 90, 135 (180, 225 and 270). If you rotate the blade more than 180 you can also use the opposite side of the stock where there is no slit that for example thin sheet metal parts can slide into. When you shift the lever, it can also be used as a bevel square to copy any angle between 0 and 270 degrees.
