most likely due to the association of the color red with good luck

There is one more nice gray triple decker in addition to these that I inadvertently left out of the photos but which is included for a total of 8 in the set

The ones with the red markings (Roman numerals I denoting their point values) are a bit heavier in weight and somewhat easier to pick up
