This was the first thing that caught my eye as I walked into a show in Bath
While trying to avoid too much glare from the glass
and what a crisp
I just neglected to photograph it that way
and--found in New Hampshire--I think either New England or Pennsylvania
C. 1920s-30s Artist's Mannequin, Japan, Freed of Stand child's chalkboard This was the first thingThis mannequin would once have had a stand, with wire fitting between his legs and running to a simple base, but I rather like him liberated from it, making him a sitter, or a gymnast! He'll sit up on his own in various poses, and can also stand balanced in a split or backbend, etc. Stamped Delta Japan on one foot, c. 1920 1940 I believe. 15 1 2 tall ; 3 3 4 wide shoulders and in good condition, all joints operating well. Dry wood surface, showing age
