Beautiful Old Hand-stitched Leather and Woven Pin Cushion orientalist portrait 12 7/8" tall when fully

12 7/8" tall when fully raised

I'd guess this old pair of chairs and bench were lovingly custom built for a group of rag dolls (I've included one photo of an 11 inch tall doll seated very happily on the bench for scale)

I've done some searching and found a number of Schortmann's from my neck of the woods near Boston

a side-wheel paddle steamer built in 1890

but would make a great mirror too

Beautiful Old Hand-stitched Leather and Woven Pin Cushion orientalist portrait 12 7/8" tall when fullyYesterday was my day for finding wonderful and unusual old pin cushions, this and twelve sided one I just listed found in New Hampshire. The leather on this one is soft and just beautifully aged, and makes me want to just carry it around in my hand. The center appears to have been hand woven, with a dark green brown thread showing on the exterior, with the leather sewn to either edge. It seems possible that this could be Native American, but I'm not
