This is a nice example of a M1 helmet liner turned Civil Defense helmet. The helmet has a decal on the front identifying it as being worn by a Civil Defense Police Officer during WWII and probably the years after leading up to the Korean War. The liner is mostly complete and still retains the leather chinstrap. The liner is painted white and is the correct high pressure WWII issue and stamped with an F logo over F7
