Whole World in a Gesture, C. 1920s-40s Velox Print Micrograph antique stool publicly traded beginning in 1922This is a very small photo a micrograph I believe, shot through a microscope just over 2"x 2", which to me is just right the right scale, as one wants to get close and peer into it! I'm guessing a much magnified view of the the pincers of an insect, with tiny hairs all around, but the identification of the subject is to my mind far less important than the formal qualities of the image, and this marvelously evocative pinching grabbing gesture: a micro
