Belgium, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown, Grand Cross Set consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with miniature crossed swords andInstituted in 1897. The Grand Cross Badge in bronze gilt consists of a five point star in white enamel, with emanating rays in between each point, hanging on a green enameled laurel wreath, the obverse centerpiece bears a royal crown on a blue enameled field, the reverse bears the stylized double L monogram of Leopold II, measures 55. 4 mm (w) x 79. 7 mm (h), weighs 56. 62 grams, worn on the original red sash, enamels intact, extremely fine condition.
