Constructed of grey painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws connecting to a period original brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Berg & Nolte, Ldenscheid, with the strap also bearing a manufacture date of 1941,
