Britain, 1914 Princess Mary Gift Fund Box, brass box issued by Princess Mary to all soldiers on the front so that they could receive a present for Christmas, bearing her bust and her monogram, measuring at 85. 0mm (w) x 129. 4mm (l) x 31. 3mm (h), and weighing at 132. 2 grams. Footnote: Princess Mary, daughter of King George V, requested that every soldier receive a Christmas present in 1914. The boxes were issued with tobacco, cigarettes, a card
