Gilt on non magnetic metal with red, white, green and black enamels, measuring 40 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), intact enamels, light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Syrian Arab Army Medal was instituted on August 1, 1962 and awarded to all members of the Armed Forces serving on August 1, 1962, in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Syrian Army. The regulations were later extended to anyone who had
