Mongolia, People’s Republic. An Order of the Polar Star, Type III Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic constructed of cardboard-reinforced dark blue(Altan Gadas Odon ). Instituted in 1936. A six pointed silver star of multi piece construction, with red, white, yellow, and ultramarine blue enamels, screwback variant with matching backing plate, numbered 132 on the reverse, measuring 46. 40 mm (w) x 53. 62 mm (h), weighs 52. 48 grams, enamels intact, dark patina, in extremely fine condition.
