The main body is metal with distressed thick leather padding. The padding is held onto the body of the mask by leather straps. CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c. 1920. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Metal, Leather. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. DIMENSIONS H 10 in. W 11. 5 in. D 4. 5 in. HISTORY Masks were more obviously a protective device. Probably the first one was invented by an
