A General Assault Badge, by Friedrich Orth consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 42. 32 mm (w) x 52. 85 mm
