Germany, Imperial. A Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17 Busby Totenkopf Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with its fateful consequences(Braunschweigisches Husaren Regiment Nr. 17 Insignien fr die Pelzmtze). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a Braunschweiger style Totenkopf, the reverse fitted with a bar perforated with two eyelets, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), missing all three of its attachment prongs, a scarce insignia for use on the Braunschweigisches Husaren Regiment Nr. 17 busby, in better than very fine condition.
