Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised elephant in mid stride, set within a circular ring bearing an inscription of SDSEE AFRIKA KIAUTSCHOU, joined together at the bottom by an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a vertical pinback and design number 33992, measuring 33. 82 mm (w) x 38. 90 mm (h), weighing 19. 8 grams, in
