Constructed of silver, the exterior bearing 13 carefully engraved facsimile signatures of unit members, surrounding an engraved monogram of AJR 19, likely indicating an Alpine unit of Jger Regiment 19, the base stamped with a silver content number of 800, flanked by a crown and crescent indicating German manufacture, as well as the hallmark of Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim, measuring 56 mm (w) x 94 mm (h),
