Braunschweig, Duchy. A Fire Brigade 15-Year Long Service Clasp, C.1900 Auction " (Gesetzlich Geschützt) and numbered(Feuerwehrehrenzeichen fr 15 Jahre Dienst). Instituted 28 May 1893 by the Braunschweig Fire Brigade Association. (1893 1936 issue). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze, affixed to a silvered bronze backplate with horizontal pinback and a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), material fatigue of the ribbon evident, in overall very fine condition.
