Germany, Imperial. A Rare Pilot’s Badge, Type 3, by C.E. Juncker visually-hidden measuring 73 mm (w) x(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown (indicating Prussian issue), surrounding a depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge emanating from a depression forming the body of the obverse crown, with a tapering narrow vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker
