Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central medallion depicting a raised monogram of Friedrich Franz IV, the six oclock arm with a date of 1917, the twelve oclock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with a central medallion with a raised Mecklenburg Schwerin War Merit Cross, unmarked, measuring 31. 49 mm (w) x
